The Tarot and Relationships

There are so many different kinds of relationships. The obvious ones are relationships we may have with our family members, or friends, or people with whom we have romantic involvements. Another that may not be so obvious is the relationship you have with yourself.

The Tarot can be used to help us gain insights into those relationships when we sense issues that may have arisen. Or maybe you are looking for guidance on whether you should move forward with a person who seems to be interested in you, or whom you’re interested in.

The first portion of this blog will deal with various kinds of relationships and how the Tarot can be used to gain clarity on whatever issues may come up.

Your Relationship With Yourself

The relationship you have with yourself is probably the most powerful and impactful in your life. If you see yourself as powerless, then this is what you will manifest for yourself. If you feel you are talented in a certain area, this will more than likely impact how you proceed in that area.

Here is a spread for a person who has asked for insight in their relationship with themselves. It’s a three-card spread and is made up of all major arcana. The major arcana are the cards that show highly impactful aspects in our lives, so this is advice that must be given attention to.

These cards are XIX, The Sun—III, The Empress—VIII, Strength. All three of these cards are showing positive facets: the Sun shows happiness and satisfaction; the Empress lets us know that creativity should be a large part of our lives in some kind of way, and Strength lets the querent (the person for whom the cards are being read) know that they have tremendous inner strength. If these cards showed up in a reading for you, I’d probably let you know that if you don’t have happiness and satisfaction in your life (or even if you do!), then finding your creative outlet can lead to greater happiness for yourself. I’d advise you that your inner strength is something for you to make use of, especially if other people in your life don’t agree with you finding your own version of creativity.

If you feel called to book a reading and discuss your unique situation around life changes and relationships, you can go to the link above at “Book a Reading.” Or if you would like to discuss the parameters of your preferred reading, please feel free to email me at margaret@mystictidestarot.com and we can discuss your ideas.
